Gluten Containing Foods

Gluten is found in many foods, particularly those in a western diet.  The list below attempts to cover many of the common gluten-containing foods that must be avoided on a gluten free diet, and some of the not-so common foods and food additives to look out for.

The obvious:

  • Wheat
  • Barley
  • Oats
  • Rye
  • Flour
  • Bread
  • Pasta
  • Beer

The not-so obvious:

  • Soy Sauce
  • Malt
  • Couscous
  • Tabouli
